It doesn’t have to be perfect
In my humble opinion having a creative outlet is one of the most import things for us twenty-somethings who are constantly go go go. Whether you’re busy working, going to school or scrolling on your phone, it’s unbelievable what can happen when you put distractions aside and sit yourself in front of a blank canvas.
“We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents.”
Art and Lifestyle
A taste of the things that excite me the most. My varied interests have lead me to ask the question over and over again “what am I supposed to do with my life?!” Here on this platform I choose to celebrate my struggle as a self proclaimed Jill of all trades. I love to tinker in all things, especially creative, from painting, sewing, gardening, reading, writing, and cooking just to name a few. See what I'm up to in my free time!
Crater Lake, Oregon
One of the most beautiful places I have even been. I often catch myself looking back at pictures from my travels wishing I was there again. While nothing compares to that feeling you get in your soul when staring over a beautiful landscape, I like to try to get a taste of that feeling again by putting brush to canvas. Relieve stress and cherish a memory, doesn’t get much better than that.
Crater Lake, on cardboard
It’s not about how good you are, what type of brushes or paint you have or even in what outlet you choice to be creative. My favorite things to paint on are cardboard and rocks, and I just go for it! Nothing is ever going to compare to the perfection of nature and that’s okay.
I’m definitely covering a very sleepy most likely unwashed face with this little painting. But I think that perfectly represents the artist in me who comes out when I simply need relief from keeping up with life.
Summer 2020 wasn’t what we all had intended it to be. But for some maybe what we needed. A chance to slow down as the days got longer, and for a lot of people pick up some new hobbies. For me I picked up a pen a paper for the first time and just let my thoughts roll.
